Q. You released an album last year called "ウツセミ"(Utsusemi, cicada), and the single you've just released is called "梟" (Fukuro, owl). Is there any reason that you used the animals for your titles?

Arimura: Not really.

Hasegawa: I don't think there is any.


Q.This is your first release after the change in your lineup. How different did this 'new' Plastic Tree feel while you were making music?

Arimura: For me, when it comes to making music it's always same. But I think consequently, compared to the past, each of our outlooks on the world was more strongly expressed on this single, and also at our shows. Maybe that's just because I expected to feel a 'new' Plastic Tree.

Nakayama：I simply tried to show the fans that I was still doing 'well'.

Hasegawa：I think this time we tried to be more conscious of the fact that we were making music.
