Okada Masaki and Aoi Yu are both starring in the movie "Raiou", to which new singer "Maika" contributed the theme song. The movie draws the story of a young shogun and a girl raised in the wild and their love to each other, like "Romeo and Juliet in Edo". In the PV of the song "Kokoro" the concept of the both of them in "modern times" is used and stars Okada and Aoi as well. Also, the two of them are lip-synching the lines of the song in the video. "It's like the two of us are making the major debut. Next should be performing at a summer festival.", Aoi commented. Yet when asked to sing by the journalist, Aoi was quick to say. "Ok, please stop. I said some useless things."
In April this year, Maika made her major debut as a new singer-song-writer, the unique point certainly being her epicene voice, picked up by the director to write the song "Kokoro" for the movie specifically.
"I was uncertain, whether I could do it, yet I put in my own thoughts into the lyrics, too", she said.
The chorus is matching the message of the movie perfectly. "With the sound and lyrics entering through the hears, they are echoing on one's heart. After a long time, I have been moved to tears again", Okada said. The single will be released on October 20th.
