[movie] Tamaki Talks about the Importance of Life

2009-06-23
Tamaki Hiroshi

On June 13th in Tokyo, the actor Tamaki Hiroshi (29) and CHEMISTRY's Dochin Yoshikuni (30) appeared at the premiere event of the movie ‘真夏のオリオン / Last Operations Under the Orion'. The film takes place in the latter stages of World WarⅡ, and chronicles the battles fought by the Imperial Japanese Navy. For Dochin it was his debut movie, and he played the part of Arisawa Yoshihiko, who is the best friend of Captain Kuramoto Takayuki played by Tamaki.

Dochin flashed a smile and commented “I hope I was able to convey the strong friendship between Arisawa and Captain Kuramoto.”

Tamaki talked intently about his role. “I was very happy about having the opportunity to play an ideal leader like Captain Kuramoto.” He then continued in a serious tone. “No matter when or where you were born, and no matter who you are we all must become aware of how precious life is. I hope people who watch the movie will feel the same way.”

At the end of the event the cast and audience held a long banner together to celebrate the start of the film's ‘voyage.'
