Nakai Masahiro, member of well-known idol group SMAP, visited the refuge in Fukuyama, and helped cook as a volunteer staff.
Right after the earthquake happened last month, he said "I'm worried about being thought as hypocrite, but it's not the right time to say that. I have to work to help people overcome the difficulties. In stead of just criticizing, we'd better act."
Wearing a cap, a mask and a pair of sunglasses, he then appeared in the refuge. Taking off the sunglasses, he said: "Today I'm on my personal visit." It seemed he was using his time-off and visited with friends.
He gave a present to both kids and elder, cooked with the staff and encouraged victims. "Let's move forward with all our spirit."
All five members of SMAP have donated a total surpassing 400 million yen by now.
