STUDIO GHIBLI
STUDIO GHIBLI has produced endless works of classic nature, and the next challenge will be an anime adaptation of Shoujo manga "Coquelicot saka kara", which was originally drawn by mangaka Takahashi Chizuru.
The director of the piece will be "Tales from Earthsea" director Miyazaki Goro himself.
The manga had originally been released in the 80s in the anthology of "Nakayoshi" and it is said to be a favorite of director Miyazaki Hayao for more than 30 years.
The series had been out of print, yet in respect to the project of STUDIO GHIBLI, a new release series had started in July this year through publisher "Kakugawa Shoten".
Incidentally on the cover belt of the volume "Recommendation by Miyazaki Hayao" can be red, along with a comment by STUDIO GHIBLI producer Suzuki Toshio: "We are currently considering to make this shoujo manga into a movie."
The manga portrays the story of the ordinary school girl Komatsuzaki Umi and will be released next year in summer.
