From July 1st to July 4th the ANIME EXPO in Los Angeles had been held and SPHIA had been among the performing artists. It was the first live for only four of them to perform, as Keyboarder MIYAKO is currently undergoing medical treatment and Vocalist Matsuoka Mitsuru said: "It is certainly weird to not perform with five people. Next year I would like us to hold a concert with all five of us."
Moreover, Kamen Rider joined Matsuoka on stage as well, since Matsuoka also had a guest appearance in the movie "Kamen Rider - W". While SOPHIA are known to be a band not doing encores, they especially for this performance returned onto the stage. Matsuoka also told the crowd that he was "Kamen Rider" himself in Japan and also began singing "little cloud" until the stage went dark for the interlude. As the lights turned up again the performance quickly changed to "Kamen Rider Eternal", from the same movie, presenting it to the very last. Thereafter, Matsuoka and "Kamen Rider" went for the presentation of Anime and Games at the main Hall.
After the live event Matsuoka said "At first I was unsure to which extent Japanese music and culture had gotten through. However, I was really moved by the excited reactions as soon as the live began. Otaku's are hot. I am a music Otaku, too. Because there needs to be something exciting on top of living and passion is a must. That's why Otakus are great. I was really happy, that I was able to present this Japanese hero as a representative for Japan in front of the all American people. "Kamen Rider", SOPHIA and all Otakus are full of passion."
