2010-06-17
movie / Oguri Shun

The movie "Gaku" (lit. mountain) starring actor Oguri Shun finished shooting a few days ago. The movie is a story about the communication between a rescue volunteer and climbers, and the severe environment in the mountain.

Before the shooting, Oguri Shun took the training of mountaineering skills in Yatugatake Mountains which is known for its severe coldness. In order to make great effect, scenes require high skills "ice climbing" and "vertical downhill" had been added. It is reported that Oguri Shun had been fighting with a 150 meters high wall in a vertical rock climbing scene for 7 hours on June 10th. Oguri Shun, who is afraid of heights, revealed his feeling: "Thanks to the long-time cruel shooting, I have built deep relationship with staff. So it's like 'quite lonely' now because the shooting is finished." The new movie will premiere next year.
