X JAPAN to Relocate to Los Angeles with Plans of First American Live Performance

2010-03-02
live / SUGIZO / X JAPAN

On February 26th, X JAPAN's band leader YOSHIKI presented his own jewelry collection [YOSHIKI Jewelry] in collaboration with Kuwayama, a producer of fine jewelry. At the event he revealed that the members of X JAPAN will be moving their base to Los Angeles, where he had been living for a number of years already.

After the band had already officially agreed on participating at the Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago from August 6th to 8th, YOSHIKI now also spoke of plans to hold X JAPAN's first official live performance in the United States in a "simpler" venue in Los Angeles.

During the presentation of the jewelry to the 120 invited guests, guitarist SUGIZO also made a surprise appearance, whereas he said, "Of course X JAPAN would like to perform more overseas, which is among the reasons...(for moving to Los Angeles). Also I am a resident over there as well. We would like many fans to come, although many are also coming to Japan."
Both of them showed themselves rather relaxed and in a playful mood, as they revealed their plans, declaring their earnest interest to conquer the world as X JAPAN.
