After the car stopped, Kotomi reclined the seat and lay down until she recovered. A while later, the door on the driver side opened. Yosuke, who had been out, came back with a PET bottle of water in his hand.
“Kotomi, I'm really sorry. I got carried away.”
His voice was small, like a scolded child. Kotomi felt a little happier hearing his voice.
He hasn't changed since his childhood.
The thought calmed her down a little, but soon the car sickness struck her again, and she frowned.
Somehow, she managed to answer, and accepted the bottled water.
“Don't worry… thank you.”
After resting for about 10 minutes, she reassured Yosuke she was fine and opened the door. As soon as she got out from the car, a strong wind hit her, flapping her clothes about. Kotomi held her hair back and they started to walk towards the observatory. Even though it was a weekday, there were a lot of tourists crowding there during sunset. Walking toward the fence, Kotomi whispered.
“For the first time in years, really.”
By her side, Yosuke answered slightly proudly, “I thought so.”
